We came to Australia on a temporary business visa and soon realized that we did not seem to be able to fulfill the necessary government requirements to obtain a permanent visa  (which normally takes 2 to 4 years). We could not see a successful way to solve this dilemma, but to give up was never an option.

Luckily, we met a mate with connections in the Immigration Department, which then led us on a clear path to solving our complicated situation. Immigration to Australia is relatively easy up until the age of 45 with various sponsor visa categories available. After this age it becomes more difficult. The business visa category remains as the only available option, with a variety of business opportunities on offer: Starting your own business, becoming a partner in an existing business or taking over an existing business.

Immediately our sole aim became one of fulfilling the necessary requirements for business migration. We worked toward our goal with Claudia: she migrated many years ago from Germany and is a qualified practicing accountant in Australia. Her professional help has proven to be invaluable in achieving our immigration to Australia as business migrants and then obtaining permanent residency.

We chose to purchase an existing business (within an industry in which we had no experience).  Our next step was to collate relevant financial documentation for the Immigration Department, which then gave us, in all fairness, 12 months in which to prove ourselves.

Our business visa entry pathway proved to be the right one. A Permanent Residency Visa was issued to us following our business migration. After a couple of successful business years we now want to slowly withdraw from our business and devote time to our new found passion which is to help others migrate to Australia on a business visa.
